Quarries

Arabescato Orobico is extracted from Valsecca and Cornalita Quarries, both belonging to Marmi Orobici Graniti Spa. Quarrying began in 1967 at Valseca which was bought by Giuseppe Carnevale who started the production of Arabescato Orobico.

This top quality material, predominantly grey in colour, is typical of Arabescato.
In 1975 Mr. Carnevale decided to expand the market by acquiring the Cornalita Quarry, located in a lower ground compared to the Valsecca Quarry. It was immediately discovered a new amazing colour of Arabescato - of several grey variations, which revealed particular interest and curiosity.

In 1982 Marmi Cornello became Marmi Orobici Graniti Spa and raised the quality and quantity of its materials soon becoming well known worldwide.

In 1992, production was intentionally reduced to develop new technologies with the purpose of better precision, less waste and most importantly, better quality to satisfy their increasingly large market.

Over the years the introduction of more advanced technology, like diamond wires, has allowed Giovanni Carnevale, succeeded  to his father, to raise the product to its highest level . Thanks to well targeted investments in the latest technology Marmi Orobici Spa has been able to guarantee constant high quality in stone processing and cutting , fabrication of slabs and other finished products.
